Churchill And Roosevelt Saw "Lady Hamilton“
ATR. H. ANDREWS, New Zealand , manager of United Artists (Australasia) Pty., Ltd., has received cabled advice from London stating that it has been officially disclosed that during the meeting of Mr. Winston Churchill and President Roosevelt in the Atlantic recently, they saw the , motion picture “Lady Hamilton,” aboard H.M.SJ Prince of Wales. It was further stated that the Prime Minister had seen the film four times. :'
At the conclusion of the screening on the Prince of Wales, Mr. Churchill turned to the officers present and said, “I thought this film would interest you gentlemen, as some of you have so recently been under fire of the enemy in a matter of equal historic importanje.” His reference was to the scene depicting the Battle of Trafalgar in the film, and to the action of the Prince of Wales against the Bismarck. • “Lady Hamilton” has already beep released in the Dominion, having had! a season of five weeks in Wellington
MARLENE DIETRICH’S daughter, Maria, makes her histrionic debut in David Selznick’s series of Hollywood stage productions. If she acts well, a film contract will follow.
