Soviet Promise Reiterated (British Official Wireless.) (Received August 28, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, August 27. Pointing out that the German activities in Iran against Russia and Britain were simultaneously aimed at reducing Iran to the role of a Nazi vassal, the “Pravda" said that the joint SovietBritish action “dealt a serious blow at Hitler’s plans,” and added : "From now on Iranian independence can be considered safe.”
