AFTERNOON MUSICALE
Free Ambulance Auxiliary Effort There was an excellent attendance of guests at the musicale given by the members of the Wellington Free Ambulance Ladies’ Auxiliary yesterday afternoon, more than DO people being welcomed by the president, Ladv Norwood. The social hall at the Free Ambulance building was attractively decorated, massed greenery and wattle being used round the pillars and on the mantelpiece. The tea tables were spread with lovely lace covers, and bowls of jonquils and poppies were used in decoration. All the flowers were afterward sold, the proceeds* going toward the funds. Members provided and served a delicious afternoon tea. The programme was arranged by Mrs. Anna Ginn, who was presented with a shoulder posy by Lady Norwood. Those who contributed to the programme were Mesdames Walter Duncan and Eckhoff. and Misses Ena Rapley, Patty Evans, and Una Weller, songs; Miss Ethel Gibson gave violin solos and a bracket of Maori songs: and Miss Una Weller provided elocutionary numbers.
A beautiful old English oak Dining Table is on display at Robin and Co., 17 Grey Street. It is a particularly nice piece 44in. square, with four leaves and reeded legs Another attractive table is an old walnut sofa table perfectly plain. 1: has no flaps and has legs at either end with a stretcher between —a very useful shape and size.—Advt.
