HUTT VALLEY BADMINTON

Keen interest continues to be shown in the Hutt Valley interclub badminton competitions. Recently a team from the Hutt Valley clubs played two matches against a team from the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Rongotai, winning both.

A handicap and open tournament Is to be held in Lower Hutt on August 20, 21, and 23.

The Hutt Valley championship points to date are:— , A Grade.—Hutt Valley 0.P.A., 8; Waterloo, 5; Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A., 3; Eastbourne, 2. Waterloo have played six games; the other teams four. B Grade. —Vauxhall, 11; Hutt Valley y.M.e.A., 10; Waterloo, 7; Hutt Valley 0.1’.A.. 2; Eastbourne, 0. All there teams have played six games except Y.M.C.A. (.7) and Eastbourne (o).
