June 23 A meeting of the Master Grocers’ Association, Napier, today passed 'he following motion, being a reply to > state meat bv the Minister of Labon r Mr Webb. lasi Thursday that up to SO or even 10(1 hours overtime could be worked if necessary provided overtime rates were paid ’That tin Shops and Offices Act prohibits working vertime in excess of GO hours a rear and mem bers submit that it is such misleading statements from Ministers ami not the attitude of employees and employers that is so damaging to tbe spirit of cooperation so necessary tor inducti ini efficiency."
