Work Of Past Year Reviewed The trustees of the Wellington Convalescent Home would be very grateful for more contributions to the home, states their forty-seventh annual report During the past year many expenses have occurred in the way of repairs; the guttering had to be renewed, papering and painting done, furniture and bedding bought, besides the general upkeep of the home. During the year 150 patients hdve been admitted to the home, 90 being nominated by the hospital. The trustees received a grant of £27 5/- from the hospital board, and a subsidy of £.56/3/4 was received from the Health Department. Special mention is made of the work of Miss Wilson, who manages the home, and of Mrs. Young, Mrs. Stout, Miss Nathan, Mrs. Coleridge, Mrs. Menzies, and the Rev. E. M. MeLevle, Roseneath, who conducted Communion and devotional services throughout the year.
The home .is controlled by nine trustees appointed by contributors in accordance with the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1969. At the statutory meeting Mrs. Martin was reelected president. The retiring trustees, Lady McGavin, Mrs. Martin, and Miss Harcourt, were re-elected. Mrs. R. E. Tripe has been appointed as bon. secretary in place of Mrs. Coleridge, who resigned.
