Gold Mining Returns Gillespies Bench jlrcdge return for three weeks was 58oz. 12<lwt. from 29,549 cubic yards in 249 hours. The Clutha River dredge returned 24 ounces for 113 hours. The Okarito return totalled 19 ounces for 115 hours. H,is Majesty’s Arcade Co. His Majesty’s Arcade and Theatre Co. Ltd.. :V>cklaud, has advised the Stock ■Exchange Association that it will be paying ou July 1 an interim divideud of 2 3-5 per cent on the preference shares, less 2/- in the £ social security charge, and 2 per cent, on the ordinary shares. Union Bank Of Australia The Union Bank of Australia Ltd. has advised the Stock Exchange Association that the transfer books will be closed from July 1 to 7. both days inclusive. William Cable Dividend William Cable and Co. Ltd has advised the Stock Exchange Association that at the annual general meeting on Friday, a final dividend on trdinary shares at the rate of per cent, per annum, making 7 per cent, for the year, was declared. The dividend was payable yesterday. Pukekohe Produce Prices Dominion Special Service. PUKEKOHE, June 23. Pukekohe cauliflowers have receded a further 6d. a Chapman bag in price since last Monday, selling today at 9/ How, ever there was still a heavy demand nud before the day was out supplies commenced to become short. This was attributed in n slight measure to the frost and cold wind during the weekend retarding hearting, and unless the weather becomes warmer a surplus of supplies may not occur again for some time Cithages are still going away at 4/ a Chap man bag but there is a firmer tone about business in this line.
Onions are moving out freely at 12/ a . cwt Other lines are somewhat slow of sale at last Monday’s values namely lettuce 6/- a case, pumpkins 7/6 a cwt., piemelons 8/ a cwt., swedes 4/6 a sugar bag carrots 4/- a sugar bag. parsnips 6/6 a sugar bag. beetroot 5/ n sugar bag. cabbage, cauliflower and lettuce plants 12/6 a thousand and onion plants 6/- a thousand Small Arran Chief and Gamekeeper seed potatoes for July planting are being quoted at 10/- a cwt.
