Father-and-Daughter Lunch
There was a record attendance at tbe I’aiher-and-duughter luncheon given by the Wellington Rotary Club on Tuesday. The president, Mr. F. Jones, warmly welcomed the daughter guests, '.i’o the younger ones he expressed the iiope that they would enjoy to the full their holidays and that they would go back to school refreshed and invigorated by the break from school studies. 'To the elder ones, -Mr. Jones said lie was aware that a good many of them were doing valuable war work in one way and another, ami ou behalf of the club he thanked them for the manner in which they were helping the great cause.
A violin solo was played-by Miss Dickson, with Miss Therle Oswiu as accompanist, ami Mr. Wil] Arcus did a number of smart conjuring tricks, much to the delight of the smaller daughters present.
