SUGAR SUPPLIES

Queensland And Dominion AGREEMENT REACHED

The Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash, announced last night that an agreement bad been reached between the Queensland Government and the New Zealand Government for the Dominion’s supply of sugar during the current year.

The agreement, said Mr. Nash, meant that the arrangements which have been in force since New Zealand entered the Empire purchasing scheme early last year would be continued and that the shipping tonnage required to convey the sugar from Queensland to New Zealand would be made available by the Commonwealth authorities.
