“WHITE ELEPHANTS”
Auction Sale For Kindergarten Funds An invitation is extended by advertisement in this issue, from the Free Kindergarten Council, to all those interested in their work to be present at an auction of “White elephants” tomorrow. This will take place at Airs. Didsbury’s residence, 224 The Terrace, Wellington, commencing at 10.30 a.m. and continuing all day. Light refreshments will be available and there wiL also be a cake and produce stall. Gifts for the stalls will be greatly appreciated. The collection of “white elephants” has exceeded expectations, and many valuable and choice articles will be for sale. Air. Eric Johnston is very generously acting as honorary auctioneer.
The kindergarten council will bo grateful for ah possible support in connexion with this effort. These are difficult days to maintain a work which is so largely dependent on the goodwill of the public, but its national significance at this time will, It is felt, call forth a generous response.
