STRIKE IN LONDON
Distribution Of Meat Stopped LONDON, April 28. The distribution of meat in London has been stopped by a strike covering all the 30 wholesale depots round the capital. Twenty-five hundred employees are affected. The strikers are protesting against the dismissal of a manager and 60 employees from a depot, which was closed after being damaged in an air raid. They contend that the employers undertook ■that the staff would be absorbed in other depots.
