Following is the weather report and forecast for the 24 hours ending at 3 p.m. today:— Winds: Easterly directions predominating, fresh at times over the northern half of the North Island; otherwise moderate. Seas (New Zealand waters) : Rather rough at times north of East Cape; otherwise slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh north-easterly winds and rather rough seas in the northern portion; moderate to fresh easterlies and moderate seas in the southern portion.
Weather - Fair at first in western districts of the .South Island; otherwise cloudy and at times misty, with scattered drizzle over the northern half of the North Island and extending southward to the northern portions of the South Island. ’ Temperatures cool to moderate. WELLINGTON DISTRICT FORECAST UP TO 6 P.M. TODAY.— Moderate winds from an easterly quarter. Weather cloudy with scattered mist or drizzle, specially in the east. Temperatures moderate; seas moderate. FURTHER OUTLOOK. — Drizzle rather more general; otherwise little change.
