LATE MR. L. F. WATKINS

Funeral Yesterday

■ The funeral of the late Mr. L. F. Watkins, organist and choirmaster at St. Mark's Church, Dufferin Street, Wellington, for over 40 years, took place yesterday morning from St. Luke's Chtir<n Wudestown, where his son, the Rev. Neville Watkins, is vicar. The service was conducted by the Rev. H. E. K. Fry, of St. Janies’ Church, Lower Hutt.

The chief mourners were the Rev. Neville a’ltd Mrs. Watkins, Mrs. T. Eastcott and Mr. R. A. Hamerten’, and Messrs. Erl': Whtkins, E. D. Cachemaille, L. C. CaeheniaiHe, Owen I’avitt, A. A. Somerville, and J. Ferguson acted as pall-bearers. Among others present were the Rev. N. F. E. Robertshaw'? (vicar of St. Mark’s), the Rev. F. M Keinpthorne (Vicar of Karori), the Rev. D. 0. Bates, Lieut.Colonel R. b. MeQuarrie, Messrs. E. E, Muir,' Gorden Shortt, E. 6. Cachemaille, F. Kelling, R. H. Webb, J. Randal, H. Keedwell, Herbert Baillie, G, W. Bui’ltrop, R. H. Gwynn, H. Hurley Brown, I). Ferguson, F. Temple Clere, H. Peebles, B. S. Withers, A. Le Fevre, IV. F. Wilkinson. W. E. Newey, Mrs, S. Hamerton, Mrs. H. P. F. Blundell, the Misses Holm (2), and the children of St. Mark’s Church Day School. Tim Rev. Mr. Fry also officiated at the crematorium.
