Giving Not Gambling
Sir, —I received today a letter from Mr. W. Donovan which reads as follows:—“I am very appreciative of the strong moral lead given to our community by the Church representatives tn advocating giving, not gambling, in connection with patriotic funds. A cheque for £25 is enclosed in response to the appeal.” Another Chureh member, who has already given generously, lias advised me that lie is contributing a further £lO/10/- as a mark of his deep desire that so worthy a cause should not be besmirched by unworthy methods, of raising funds.—l am, etc., LAWRENCE A.
