Funds Of Auckland Savings Bank (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 28. Total funds reaching a new high level of £10,687,000 and an increase of £500,000 in deposits, which is almost a record, were revealed at the annual meeting of trustees of the Auckland Savings Bank today. The chairman, Mr. Edward Anderson, said evidence of confidence in the bank was the growth in the number of accounts which, apart from national savings deposits, were increased during the year' by 2823, making a total of 195,362. The bank, he said, had made an interest-free loan of £50,000 to the Government. Mr. Anderson was re-elected president, and Mr. G. W. Sanders deputypresident.
