REEFTON MEETING
Totalizator Increase (By Telegraph—Press .Association.) RIEHFTON, April 27. The Reefton Jockey Club’s meeting was held on Saturday in fine cloudy weather, before a large attendance. The totalizator handled £0964/10/-, against £4605 the previous year, an increase of £1359/10/-. An inquiry was held Into the running of Karn, winner of the Reefton Trot, as inconsistent with form in a previous event that day, the Progress Trot. The driver's explanation was accepted. At the conclusion of the Flying Hack Handicap, the judicial committee held an- Inquiry Into the start, when Citizen and Mlltiades were left. They expressed dissatisfaction with the start and Instructed the starter not to start in similar circumstances without using a flag. Results:— ALIEXANDHR HACK HAiNDICAP, of £75.
