Babies’ Photographic Exhibition. So far the response to the photographic exhibition to be held by the Plunket Society in the D.I.C. lounge has been disappointing. Every year the work expected of the society is increasing, and an ever-growing burden is placed on its nurses. To cope with this Increase the society would like to extend its services, but without adequate financial support from those who benefit by its assistance and advice this will be impossible. The society therefore wishes to point out to Giese people in particular their responsibilities in this connexion. This exhibition will provide an opportunity for all to help by entering photographs and by voting. Kelbum Patriotic Committee. The women’s auxiliary of the Kelburn Patriotic Committee is now in process of formation, for the purpose of regularly making up the allotted quota of soldiers’ parcels and other patriotic work, and it is hoped that there will be a large attendance of women interested at the meeting advertised in this issue. League of Mothers Addressed.

The Johnsonville branch of the League of Mothers met recently, when Mrs. Hogg, president, welcomed members and friends. The Rev. Mr. Larsen addressed the meeting. Songs were given by Mrs. Philpott (accompanied by Mrs. Lynch) and Mrs. Kettlewell, and recitations were contributed by Miss Joy Ring.

A demonstration on bead bag-making was given at the last meeting of the Otaki Women’s Institute. Members arranged to contribute books and other articles to be sent to soldiers’ camps.
