BOWLERS’ PATRIOTIC GALA

The bowling season in Wellington will be brought to a close today by the Wellington Bowling Centre holding a gain on the 'Wellington club’s greens on behalf ot the Fighting Services Queen, bister Mahoney, who, with her princesses, will be in attendance. Events will commence at 1 p.m. The entertainment will take the form of a short game, Scotsmen v. The World, and there will also lie drawing and driving competitions, \ in which all may participate. In addition there will be side-shows on the bank, community singing led by Mr. H F Wood and Highland dancing arranged by Mr. Colin Campbell, with pipers in attendance. The centre executive invites-all bowlers, bowlers* wives, as well as others interested, to attend. The charge for admission to the green will entitle the entrant to an art union ticket as well.
