Railroads were consistently strong. Others .were a trifle mixed, including steels. The ' stock turnover rose to 500,000 shares, the best in two weeks. Wheat futures rose a cent a bushel, partly on the news of a dust storm. Wellington Poultry Prices Brices of live poultry in the Wellington markets this week are quoted by Townsend and Baul, Ltd., as follows: — White Leghorns-—Hens, 2/- to 3/each; cockerels, 1/- to 1/2 lb.; pullets (best). 6/- to 8/- each, (others), 3/- to 0/--. Black Orpingtons: Hens, heavy, 3/to 6/- each; medium, 2/- to 3/-; cockerels, heavy, 1/- to 1/2 lb.; medium, 1/- to 1/2. Rhode Ifeland Reds: Cockerels, heavy, 1/- to 1/2. Ducks —Indian Runner: Young, 4/- to 7/- each; old, 3/- to 4/-. White; Young, 4/- to 7/-; heavy, 4/- to 6/-. Geese: 5/- to 6/- each. Turkeys: 1/- to 1/3 lb. Taringamutu Dividend Tariugamutu Totara Sawmills, Ltd., has advised the Stock Exchange Association that an interim dividend of 34 per cent, will be paid on May 31. Transfer books will not be closed. Abraham And Williams Abraham and Williams, Ltd., has adi vised the Stock Exchange Association that an interim dividend of 24 per cent, on ordinary shares will be paid on April 30. Transfers received up to and including April 26 will be adjusted for the dividend.

N.Z. Paper Mills Dividend NZ. Paper Mills. Ltd., has advised the Stock Exchange Association that a final dividend of 4 per cent., making 7 per cent, for the year, will be paid on May 22. Share registers will be closed from May 8 to 21, inclusive.
