WOMEN’S HOCKEY

Annual Report Of N.Z. Association

The thirty-third annual report of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association states that there are 22 associations affiliated to the association, with 3496. registered players. The committee hopes that every endeavour will be made to retain- playing strength, and thus avoid_ losing any of the benefits gained by overseas undertakings during the past few years. The financial position is satisfactory, the sum of £2OO from the overseas’ travelling trust fund having ’been lent to the New Zealand Government for the duration of the .war and for six months thereafter, and the association feels proud of its modest endeavour to help in the Empire’s war effort.
