NATIONAL OPERA FOR MEXICO
NEW YORK, March 27. The newly-formed Mexican National Opera Company sponsored by the Mexican Government, begins its first season in Mexico City on June 8 with Marjorie Lawrence, the Australian soprano of the Metropolitan Opera, as the principal star and under the direction of Fritz Steiner. Excepting Miss Lawrence the entire cast will consist of Mexican singers.
