MEAT CRISIS

Board And Minister Confer At a special meeting of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board held yesterday in connexion with, the present crisis in the meat industry, the board had a full discussion with the Minister of Agriculture and Marketing. Mr. Barclay, with a view to relieving the position regarding the killing of wethers and ffwes. The board states that the Minister is fully alive to the position, and an early statement from the Government is expected, soon after the Minister’s return from the South Island next week.
