MELBOURNE, March 11.
Comprehensive defence plans in the Pacific are being considered at a series of conferences which commenced yesterday in Melbourne between Australian and New Zealand defence chiefs. r The talks, which are secret, are the first of their kind since the war began.
The best methods of ensuring Australian and New Zealand co-operation are being discussed. The results will be co-ordinated with those of other defence talks at Singapore and other Pacific bases.
