British And Allied Shipping Losses

Merchant shipping losses for the week ended March 3 were 29 ships of a total of 148,000 tons. This is the third highest figure for any week since the war began. The losses comprised 20 British ships of 103,000 tons, the balance being eight Allied ships and one neutral ship.
