HAWKE’S BAY AIRMAN MISSING

Pilot Officer M. Ormond Dominion Special Service. HASTINGS, March 9. Advice has been received by Mr. J. D. Ormond, Wallingford, that his fifth son, Pilot Officer Michael Ormond, aged 19, has been reported missing. Pilot Officer Ormond was educated at Hereworth School, Havelock North, and Christ’s College, Christchurch, and two years ago went to England to study music. On the outbreak of war he joined the R.A.F. He was the fourth member of the family in the fighting forces, three brothers, John, Dan'and Walcott, being with the Second N.Z.E.F. and all holding commissioned rank.
