Alleged Hindrance To War
Effort In Canada
OTTAWA, March 7.
The Minister of War Services, Mr. Gardiner, told the House of Commons that the Canadian Press had done more to delay the Dominion’s war effort than any other organized group. He accused a “certain group of the Press’ of spreading false statements and said thirl every time untrue information was given to the public the Government had to take time out of the war effort to restore confidence.
