Clothes Inspected By Lady Galway

LONDON, March 6. Lord and Lady Galway have arrived from New Zealand.

Lady Galway’s first act after her arrival a few days ago was to inspect a large consignment of comforts sent to England under the Lady Galway Patriotic Fund. She was accompanied by Mr. Jordan, High Commissioner for New Zealand, and Mrs. Jordan, and Lady Reading, chairman of the Women’s Voluntary Services, which is responsible for the distribution of comforts. Lady Galway ffns particularly interested in a child's dress sent in by a Gisborne contributor. A note attached to it read: “If you look in the pocket you will find something interesting.’’ Inside the pocket was a handkerchief with a sixpence tied in the corner.
