CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS PLAY-OFF TODAY

Complete arrangements have been made for the play-off between Messrs. Allerhand and Wade, two members of the Wellington Chess Club, who tied for first place in the recent tourney for the championship of New Zealand. This deciding game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. today in the Gas Company’s Building, Courtenay Place. It will be followed with much interest by Wellington enthusiasts, as Wade was the runner-up to Allerliand when the latter won the championship of the Wellington Chess Club in October last.
