AIR CASUALTIES
Pilot Officers Presumed Dead The following air casualties were officially announced last evening:— Flying Officer Eric Neil Baker, previously reported missing on air operations, now reported prisoner of war. Alother: Airs. C. S. Baker, 31 Simla Crescent, Khandallah, AVellington. The deaths of the following officers have now been presumed:— Pilot Officer Edgar Elliot Morton, May 20, 1940. Pilot Officer Morton was reported missing, believed killed, in May last. Alother: Airs. L. E. Duncan, Takapuna, Auckland. Pilot Officer Albert Edgar Wickham, May 23, 1940. Pilot Officer AVickham was reported missing, believed killed, in Alay last. He was accepted for a short service commission in 1938 and commenced training at Taieri with the Otago Aero Club. He left New Zealand in June, 1939, to take up his commission in the Royal Air Force with which service he served until posted missing, believed killed. Father: Air. R. E. AVickham, 345 Armagh Street, Christchurch.
REAR-ADMIRAL’S SON MISSING
Dominion Special Service. HASTINGS, March 7. Advice has been received in Hastings that Pilot Officer Richard Lawson, son of Rear-Admiral and Airs. Lawson, and brother of Airs. Antony Reeve, Havelock North, has been reported missing while engaged in an R.A.F. offensive.
