The Vegetable Garden
Sow beet, carrots (shorthorn )f spinach, silver beet, swedes and turnips. Plant out brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage, celery, kale and savoy. Sow a green crop, such as white mustard, oats or lupins, in all vacant plots. Dig in six to eight weeks later. This is the month to renovate established lawns. A top-dressing can mow be applied where the grass shows a tendency to thin out. , ~ . ... Prepare plots for the planting of all fruit trees.
