Meeting Of N.Z. Council It was reported at the monthly meeting of the New Zealand Golf Association, m Wellington this week that John Matt, the association’s professional coach, would be able to do a tour as soon as he had completed his training in the territorial camp, just before Easter. Ih tour would probably comprise the NelsonMarlborough districts,, and any cfobe desirous of having a visit from M att after Easter should notify the association. Standard scratch scores were fixed as follows: Midhirst, 71; Chisholm Park. it). Tournaments were advised to the association as follows :—Hannier Springs: Simes Cup match. March 22-23. NaPier : Faster tournament, April 12-14. ( hristchurch: Easter tournament, April I_-IJ. Manawatu: Annual Easter tournament, April 12-14.
TITAHI CLUB
Though the Titahi Golf Clubs balancesheet presented at. the recent general meeting disclosed that expenditure during the year had exceeded the revenue Iby approximately £BO, the club, nevertheless, whs shown to be in a sound financial position. Mr. E. Johnston presided. Thirty-one members, of Q total ot Ibi, are serving with His Majesty’s forces. It was decided to carry out a full programme of events during flic winter season, and opening day was fixed for Sunday. March 23. , ’The election- of officers resulted as to.lows President. Jlr. E. Johnston; vicepresidents. Messrs. 11. Murphy and J. A. Tunnington; captain, Mr. F. W. Maddock; committee, Messrs. 0. G. Swinburne, A. E. Donaghue, J. R- Hughes. ML J. Stacey, and G.
