Mails close at post office, Te Aro, C.2., anil Wellington East, C. 3, one halt hour prior to the elosing of mails at the chief post office, between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. (Mails for Auckland, by' “Limited” express, close at these offices at 4.30 p.m.). OVERSEAS MAILS (OUTWARD). Overseas mails will be dispatched as opportunity offers. TRANSTASMAN AIR SERVICE. Mails will close at Wellington three each fortnight. Australia (including air services in Australia), Egypt, Africa and intermediate Em. pire countries, foreign countries intermediate between Australia and Egypt. TRANSPACIFIC AIRMAIL. The closing time for mails from Wellington will he at 4 p..ni., Thursday, February AIRMAIL SERVICES TO GREAT BRITAIN. Air New Zealand, Australia, Cape Town only (by transtasman airmail er Australian dispatches): Normal transit times, on the average 45 days: postal rate, 1/G each half ounce. ♦Air Honolulu, New York only (as opportunity offers): Normal transit time, approximately three weeks; postage rate, l/li each half ounce. ♦Air Honolulu. United States of America, Great Britain (as opportunity offers): Normal transit times, under three weeks: postage rate. 4/- each half ounce. Air New Zealand, New York only (by transpacific airmail): Normal transit time, approximately two weeks: postage rate, -I/- each half ounce. Air New Zealand, United States ot America, Great.
