VISIT TO EGYPT
Mr. Eden And Sir John Dill REVIEW OF AFRICAN SITUATION LONDON, February 20. It is reported from Cano that Mr. Eden. Foreign Secretary, and General Sir John Dill. Chief of the Imperial Staff, have arrived in Cairo. Referring to their visit, the spokesman ol the British Embassy in Cairo said it was natuial that Mr. Eden should make such a journev. Ihe time was tipe ior a full review of the political and military situation in Africa and the Middle East a.- a result of the brilliant victories ol the Army of the Nile.
It is pointed out that Mr. Eden has already made two visits to Egypt, the first a year ago when Secretary . of Stale for the Dominions. On that visit he welcomed the first Imperial contingents on their arrival. His second visit was in November, when, as Sec-
retary of State for War, he discussed the situation in the Middle East with General Sir Archibald Wavell. Since then the situation has undergone a complete change, and it is probable that Mr. Eden will visit the area captured from tlic Italians.
