A Frontier Town Reconstructed

QLD TUCSON, the mile-square adobe city—l 4 miles from the modern •ity—where for more than three months producer-director Wesley Ruggles filmed Columbia’s “Arizona,” starring Jean Arthur, and with William Holden and Warren William, is retting ready for the world premiere af the film, which will take place there.

An authentic reproduction of Tucson of 80 years ago, the mammoth permanent set will provide a lively scene. The 130 adobe buildings are being furnished as frontier saloons, gambling bouses, cafes, cantinas, dance halls and rurio shops, and a huge open-air damce pavilion is being constructed in the plaza.
