TRAGEDY IN SAN PEDRO

“Moon Title,” by Willard Robertson (London: Hamilton). This novel seems in its beginning likely to turn out a typical example of the American school of "tough" writing. However, sentiment soon creeps lit mid the result is a story emphatically emotional in its appeal. The principal scene is a bait barge moored in San Pedro harbour. In charge of the barge is a young Swedish seaman with n tragic past. He saves a girl from suicide and happiness seems within their grasp when they set up house together. But tragedy steps in once more, though the book ends on a note that, is not without hope. Itls a wellwritten tale, simple and moving.
