“AVe are absolutely in the dark about the whole thing and have no idea what the Government has in mind,” said Mr. 11. J. S. Rickard, vice-president anil formerly president, of the Pharniaceutieal Society of New Zealand, when commenting on the proposals of the Government to introduce pharmaceutical benefits.
The society, lie said, had not been approached by the Government about the matter, and he and the members of the board bad been amazed to read in the newspapers of the proposed scheme. Pending further elucidation of the position, the society could not express its views more fully.
