The possibility of a postponement of the municipal elections, due to be held in May, is being discussed in Labour circles, and it is understood that the

question was raised at a caucus in Wellington yesterday of members of the Parliamentary Labour Party. Some time ago the authorities circularized local bodies lo ascertain their views on tile quest ion of holding the local body elections this year, and the replies Io these circulars showed the general opinion to bethat the elections should be held at the normal time. Subsequently it was officially announced the elections would be field as usual.
