APPEAL FOR FUNDS FJHTE Red Cross Society has organized the following essential services for the benefit of the general public in the Wellington City and Suburbs: — INSTRUCTION: In First Aid, Home Nursing, A.R.l’. Hygiene and Sanitation. VOLUNTARY AID DETACHMENTS: Men’s and Women’s, formed for service in emergency: Attending hospitals and rendering service, acting as auxiliaries to the Health and Defence Services, LADIES’ AUXILIARY: Making and mending clothing for children’ of families in indigent circumstances; making comforts for Sick and Wounded soldiers. CAFETERIA: Attending the Wellington Hospital daily to serve refreshments to out patients for treatment. BLIND COMMITTEE: Caring for the Blind —promoting outings, social functions, providing medicines, clothing, radios, tram, train and theatre concessions etc. HOSPITAL VISITORS: Visiting patients in Hospitals, Convalescent homes, Sanitoria and distributing reading matter, comforts, etc. LADIES’ SOCIAL CLUB: Raising funds for Society and assisting kindred organizations with their efforts. j WOMEN'S TRANSPORT SERVICE : For Active Service ami prepared to act in any emergency.
