TRIAL BLACK-OUT Auckland Proposal

(ly Telegraph- --'"less Association.i AUCKLAND, February 14. A trial black-out in homes in Auckland city and suburbs is to be held next Tuesday night. The period for the black-out is to be from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and it will be suggested to householders that, while interior lights may be kept burning so that the normal life of the home may continue, they arrange that no beams from these lights can be seen from outside. The purpose of this black-out is to enable citizens to see what would be expected of them in the event of a Mack-out being called for at short notice. It is not intended on this occasion to include street lights or motor car lights in the trial.
