Marton Navy League's Shop Day

The shop held by the Tutaeutu shop district of Marton on Tuesday for the funds ofrthe Marton branch of the Aavy League proved a great success. I. he gross takings of the shop and of the auction sales, hold recently as part ot the same effort, were £226/13/3. From this expenses amounting to nearly L> were deducted. This excellent net sum rellects great credit on all who worked so hard for the effort. Lhe cordial thanks of Mrs. Duckworth (convener) and her stallholders are due to nil who helped in any way and to the public, who supported both efforts in such large numbers.
