SMALL NAVAL SHIPS
Construction In Canada OTTAWA, February 10.
• The Minister of Supply, Mr. Howe, announced that 45 corvettes and 13 mine-sweepers have already been launched from Canadian shipyards. Fourteen more corvettes and 18 minesweepers would be ready by May.
The Dominion Bridge Company is constructing modern floating drydocks, costing from 2,500,000 to 2,750,000 dollars, for use on the east coast. They will possibly be in service in 1942.
