Mr. W. Russell-Wood, Dunedin, accompanied by Mr. Burton Donovan, Melbourne, left for the south last night after a tour of the North Island.
Mr. Flavell, formerly of Wellington and Dunedin, who was till the outbreak of war on the staff of St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, and who Hus since been serving on one of tlie Lxmdou sectors of tlie Emergency Medical Service. has been elected a Fellow ol the Itovtt! College of Surgeons. England. .
Mr. C. T- Couch, who lias been appointed accountant to Hie Wellington tramways and electricity department, in succession to the late Mr. L. J. Nor-ton-Taylor, was born in India, and was educated at St. Brendan’s College, Cutton, and St. Peter and Paul’s College, Prior Park, Bath. He joined the service in June, 1923, as assistant to the then internal auditor, Mr. B. O. Peterson. Three years later Mr. Cooch was transferred to the head office of the tramways department, and became assistant accountant on April 1,193 S
