HEAVY SCORING IN ALL GRADES

A brilliant century by 11. Prince for Harbour Board against Amalgamated Bricks was one of the features of Saturday’s A grade matches under the jurisdiction of the Wellington Mercantile Cricket League. Prince was unbeaten with 166, and bis side all but secured a victory against the former ■championship leaders. Another fine performance was that of James Smith, who compiled 303 for eight wickets, declared, Lust topping the century. A grade results were:— Working Men’s Club 207 for eight declared beat Hannahs 93.

Harbour Board 290 for eight declared drew with Amalgamated Bricks 246 for nine.

Justice Department 185 beat Woo: worths 93.

James Smith 303 for eight declared drew with Smith and Smith 211 for eight. The B grade leaders, Prestige Hosiery, met with their first defeat of the season, but are practically assured of the championship. Outstanding performances in all grades were:—
