FATAL CRASH

Sole Occupant Of Aircraft Killed . ACCIDENT AT WIGRAM The sole occupant of an aircraft engaged in night-flying exercises at R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Wigram, was killed at 3.10 a.m. yesterday, when the machine crashed two miles from the aerodrome. He was Leading Aircraftman Allen Henry Mclver, son of Mr. R. J. Mclver, 66 Rangitane Street, Palmerston North, It is believed that the pilot overshot the flarepath, and during the recovery flew into the ground. A Court of Inquiry is being set up.
