Inspection By Ministers
(By Telegraph—Press Association,) UMARU, January 31.
The Minister of Finance, Mr. Nash; the Minister of Railways, Mr. Semple; and the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Armstrong, inspected the Levels irrigation scheme today, accompanied by the Assistant Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, Mr. W. Newnham, and the district engineer, Mr. T. G. Beck. The Ministers were greatly impressed with the possibilities of the scheme. Later they inspected the Public Works workshop at Temuka, and expressed surprise at the efficiency of the organization.
