■ Mrs. Gerard, wife of Commander J Gerard, R.N., England, is visiting Wellington and is staying at the Grand Hotel.

Miss Elsie Andrews, New Plymouth, chairman of the Pau-Pacific Women's Association in New Zealand, is visiting Wellington for the executive meeting and conference of the association which took place yesterday. Mrs. Denton-Leech. J.P., Miss L. Sullivan and Mrs. Mawat, Dunedin, have been visiting Wellington for the conference and summer school of the League of Nations Union. Miss Sullivan was also a delegate to the PanPacilic Women’s Association conference yesterday. Mrs. W. John Boyd, Marton, is visiting Mrs. Warren Boyd, Dunedin.

Miss Dorothy Waters, New Plymouth, has left for Wellington, where she will join the New Zealand Army Nursing Service at Trentham. Mrs. Sim, Austin Street, Wellington, is visiting Miss Sim, Palmerston North. Mrs. G. Simmins, Wellington, is visiting Napier.

Sister C. Hay-Mackenzie, "Westport, lias arrived at Wellington to take up her duties with the Army NursingService Overseas. Miss Flora Hay-Mac-kenzie, who has been spending a few days with her sister, returned to Westport by plane yesterday.
