Beginning To Show Effects Of Hot Weather FREEZING WORKS BUSY Dominion Special Service. MASTERTON, January 3. Pastures on the higher lauds of the Wairarapa are beginning to show the effects of the beat during the past week. Though milk yields are holding up. it is feared that with continued hot weather the supply will be affected considerably. The freezing works are in full swing and large drafts are being sent in. It is expected that following the tat lamb drafting, shearing will be finished in the South Wairarapa about Hie middle of January.
