AERO ENGINE FACTORY
Ready In Three Months Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Pty., Limited, advises that the new aero engine factory now being constructed at Lidcombe (New South Wales) will be opened in about three months, states the “Melbourne Argus.” The factory, which is air conditioned throughout, will be one of the finest in Australia, and will compare favourably with others of its type anywhere in the world. The factory will have one of the finest collections of machine tools ever assembled in one unit in Australia, and will offer special opportunities for skilled tradesmen Io enter the highest grades of engineering work. Courses of instruction are being arranged, whereby selected men will be sent to .Melbourne, at the expense of the corporation, for three months’ instruction in special branches of aero engine production at the corporation's factory at Fishermen's Bend. They will lie returned to Lidcombe to become the nucleus of the skilled staff to be organized there.
