RELIGIOUS SERVICES. CHRIST ADELPIILKN LECTURE ON BIBLE TRUTH (God willing) T 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET; SUNDAY AT 7 P.M. Subject: “LOOKING BACK AND LOOKING FORWARD” "WE LOOK NOT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN, lit T AT 'HIE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN; FOR 'HE 'HUNGS WHICH ARE SEEN AM/ TE.M PORARY. BUT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL” (Paul—2 Cor. 4:18). LOOKING BACK we see 6000 years ot sin, suffering, pain and death; sjrile and war; the rise and fall of the Kingdoms of men; the passing away ot World empires: Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman; the division of the Roman empire into independent Kingdoms which have been unable to “cleave one to another”; and today what do we see as the end of it»all n warring World, “Distress of nations with perplexity, mens hearts failing them for fear and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth.” (Gen. 3:16-19, Roms. d:l2, Roms. 8:22, Dan. 2:38-43, Luke 21 :2j--26). LOOKING BACK we see the truth oi God’s Word that “all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass”—an endless procession of mortals passing from the cradle to the grave. (1 Peter 1:24, Isa. 40 :5-S, Psa. 103:15, Psa. 90:9-12, Janies 4:14, Job 14:1-2, Ecc. 1:14). LOOKING FORWARD we see Jesus Christ back upon the earth —the Kingdoms of men abolished-y-a universal Kingdom of God established —order, peace, enlightenment, the earth full or God’s glory and all nations blessed. (Acts 1:11, Acts 3:19-21, Rev. 19:15, Dan. 2:44, Rev. 11:15, Matt. 6:10, Acts 17:31. Zech. 14:9, Psa. 67:4, Psa. 72, Isa. 2, Isa. 11, Jer. 3 :17, Hab. 2:14, Numbs. 14:21, Gen. 22:18, Gals. 3:16). LOOKING FORWARD even Io the end of the Millennium and we see sin and death abolished from the earth —we see “the glorious earth, speeding its magnificent journey through space, not as now, bearing the burden of a race full of strife and war, of disease, sorrow, pain and death: but then, carrying upon it an immortal people, shining with the glory of the Divine nature, exhibiting the eternal excellence of perfect love and goodwill, aud delighting themselves in the abundance of peace” —“GOD ALL IN ALL.” (1 Cor. 15: 2-1-28, Rev. 21:1-5). Questions invited. No collection. If unable to attend, write “Bible Truth,” c/o above hall for free literature.
