Many Uruguayans are urging the Government to abandon neutrality and adopt a policy of non-belligerency in favour of Britain, says the "New York ’rimes.” They suggest that the port of Montevidi'o should be opened for unrestricted use by the South At lantie squailrou of the British l-’leel. I,ending Uruguayan newspapers point out that the Admiral Graf Spec was destroying commerce, while the Carnarvon Ca.-tle was protecting it. .vet under Uruguay’s observance of neutrality the Carnarvon Castle was given the same t realmeiit as the Graf Spec, which is ridiculous.
